  • 1 Head Romaine Lettuce Leaves washed and separated
  • 20 Oz. Tuna 4 cans
  • 2 Medium Bell Peppers Small diced
  • 1 Cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 Tbsp Lime Juice
  • 1 Tsp Cumin
  • 1/2 Tsp Paprika
  • 1/4 Tsp Salt
  • 1/4 Tsp Pepper
  • Fresh Cilantro For garnish


  1. Wash and romaine lettuce and separate the leaves into "boat". Set aside.

  2. Dice bell peppers into small, similarly sized pieces. Set aside 1 tbsp of diced peppers to use as garnish if desired.

  3. In a medium bowl add tuna, peppers, mayo, lime juice, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly to combine.

  4. Distribute tuna evenly among the romaine lettuce boats. How much you put in depends on the size of your lettuce leaves.

  5. Garnish tuna boats it reserved peppers and cilantro if desired and enjoy!

Recipe Notes

This recipe is great to make ahead of time and the tuna salad filling can be prepared and stored in the fridge for up to 3 days. If not using immediately wait to wash and separate the romaine leaves until you are ready to fill them to prevent wilting.
